The Aakash tablet is a highly affordable device, working on the Android 2.2 operating system (Froyo). The tablet comes with an internal memory of 2GB but is expandable using Micro SD cards. As India’s first tablet, it shows world class operating systems can be made accessible to larger audiences, and hopes to create a new market for tablet computing.
