Technical Writer

Description

You will need to put down requirements and design specifications , communication and test plans , manuals and meeting minutes. You should be able to write for a technical audience (i.e. Developers and Administrators ) and work independently and be pro-active within a close team atmosphere. You should be able to create documents for company systems , applications and departments. You will be required to review assigned project documentation to maintain quality delivery of all deliverables. You will need to attend project related meetings to take meeting minutes as part of the team communication process and content gathering for changes throughout the project lifecycle. You will follow standard documentation methods within established guidelines and departments.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• We are seeking a skilled writer who can explain a complicated technical subject/task clearly and comprehensively.
• Two years plus of experience in writing software documentation are essential.
• You must bring along a thorough understanding of the System Development Lifecycle and Software Development Lifecycle processes.
• Furthermore, excellent English skills both written and spoken are absolutely mandatory.
• You should be able to communicate to all levels of the project team and must be able to work with both the technical team as well as with business customers effectively under minimal supervision.
• Communicate and record effectively with team members and management
• Experience and proficiency with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and typing skills are required as well as the ability to follow standard documentation methods within established guidelines and departments.
• The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and is a very good team player.
